The road or path is usually not straight and narrow, but messy, going right, then left, up, down, around and under, before finally coming back and ending up right where it exists now.
When things get messy and the road gazelle jumps the path thought traveled, I listen to this song and smile, awaiting and realizing, all will be well in the coming change.
I feel very grateful for my friends and loved ones, even the ones who will never read this, or are too far away, for if I could reach out through the pixels and distance, touch and let them know, I would, but alas … this is all … I can do !
Some things are fading, going away, yet something new is coming around the edges in its messy way, ahaa, yep, here it comes, so many hellos and goodbyes, not in any order or sequence existing in time, just the way it works in life, driving down the lane, in and around the line that lies ahead. Herndon grew up around this railroad station. The town received its name in 1858 when the Alexandria, Loudoun & Hampshire Railroad (later the W&OD) arrived and a post office was established in the newly built station BAR Photography on Flickr: Posted a Photo

Herndon quickly became the commercial center for a booming dairy industry in the surrounding countryside. Mills, farm suppliers, and retail shops were established near the railroad depot. As businesses expanded, so did the population. BAR Photography on Flickr: Posted a Photo
The Washington and Old Dominion Railroad (colloquially referred to as the W&OD) was an intrastate short-line railroad located in Northern Virginia. Its oldest line extended from Alexandria on the Potomac River northwest to Bluemont at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains near Snickers Gap, not far from the boundary line between Virginia and West Virginia.
